Happy Horse :) Aug 31, 2008 I purchased this saddle (without the flex tree) mainly because of a herniated disk which was painful when I saddled my horse with my 35+ lb western saddle. This saddle is a breeze to throw up on my 15.5 hand quarter horse. I did not realize a saddle could make that much difference in my horse's attitude. He doesn't object to saddling like before and he is moving out smoother and quicker than before. Ears forward and a much better attitude. I would not have believed that this saddle would have made such a difference in my ride. Besides the improved horse's performance I find the cantle cradles my lower back and minimizing jerks that cause pain. The saddle sits pretty much like my other saddle as far as the width in the front. I find that I am in good alignment overall resulting in a balanced ride. All in all, I feel this was a good investment for me and I am pleased that my horse is as happy as I am.
